VOTE OF THANKS to All Church Participants
I do not know how many of our youths who attend church activities these days and many who can relate to certain actions in church during mass and services.
If you were brought up in a family like mine where you'd have to wake up every morning by 5a.m for morning mass, you'd have seen many of these actions, enough to last you a life time. You could also find your part among them and if you aren't a constant church attender, you might have witnessed one or two but if you haven't or you don't go to church at all, then you're probably missing out not only on this part- there more beneficial and spiritual parts and blessings you'd be needing.
Not to bore you; but quickly(or not), I want to take this paragraph out to appreciate those annoying unassigned church wardens who think that the only way to try not to sleep is by walking around waking others; as if the church wardens raid isn't enough. I have a friend who does it out of jealousy, because she doesn't sleep comfortably on the wooden chair, no one else should- she can't bear the burden alone and some people especially the elders would think she's being nice and considerate and would commend her... Your works of charity are highly appreciated.
From the Himalayas, I recognize those who when woken, their next response is always "I wasn't sleeping". Some would even want to make a fuss out of the situation when their eyes are clearly stating that they've not been participating with the Lord's brethren in the assembly of His people. The Lord still hears the contents of your meditative heart.
Very specially, I won't omit my category- The Group Attenders, Those ones that can't be to church alone, wait for your friends, so you could make a grand entrance and take pictures before and after services. The Lord sees your efforts and Facebook always awaits your Sunday posts.
The fashionistas can also be found in this category, they come to show off their nice gowns, designer bags, shoes and flawless make-overs
My hat is doffed for the serious/devote ones who'd be present 15 minutes before any activity and participate fully to the end. Many a time, they help the priests in quoting the scriptures even before he thinks of the lines. These people nod from the beginning of sermons to the end and few times, they just nod as a result of sleep but "all join".
Then there are these ones who'd attend services very late and would walk all the way from the very last seat down to the front, almost to the altar to search for a space to fix themselves, sometimes during the sermon... The Lord sees your efforts.
My genuine salute goes to the brethren who don't feel to big or too shy to dance like "David's dance" during the offertory even if they just folded their hands without money in them. Most of them would cause traffic for the offertory queue and wouldn't care in the world.
My apologies to those I've not recognized, God still sees your efforts.
